As some of you know, in July Estevan received 5 inches of rain in less than an hour. That rain turned our street and yard into a lake costing us two good friends: Katie's car "Carla" and my truck "Summer".
As well, that rain also turned our basement into a swimming pool (or maybe a waterfall.... something bad anyway). Water came in all the basement windows and made a mess of everything.
As previously reported, thanks to Sari, the girls and a bunch of good friends, they cleaned everything up as quickly as possible and then we ran dehumidifiers and fans forever!
In the end, we save most of it. I say "most" because Megan's bedroom was not so likely. There was water behind the gyprock and so we ripped out what we had to and then said, "Ya know, there are more fun things to do in the summer than work on a basement" so we moved Megan to the upstairs guest room and said, "We will get to this later".
Today is "later". Here is today's prep work (Maybe you should not look, Megs).
Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forward. I will post the progress as it proceeds.

Did you just repair the damage, or did you do some water sealing for next time?
